UFC Fight Night 173 Shahbazyan v.s. Brunson: Coby's Plays

Fight night is back as the UFC returns to the fight capital, Las Vegas, to host UFC Fight Night 173.

The Middleweight main event is between undefeated rising star Edmen Shahbazyan and savvy veteran Derek Brunson. Some other awesome fights on this card are Vincente Luque vs Randy Brown, Ed Herman vs Gerald Meerschaert and a rematch between Bobby Green and Lando Vannata.

This definitely isn’t the strongest card of the year, due to two positive Covid tests, injuries and failed weight cuts, however the Vannata Green sequel is going to make this card worth it. Also, Shahbazyan is a very entertaining fighter to watch and should put on a how tonight.

As for the gambling people, the odds on this card are buns due to a ton of short notice fights and cancellations. However, we will always find a way to make a buck off these cards.

1. Vincente Luque -200

Yes, he is -200. Who cares because Luque is not losing this fight. Luque is just at a way higher level than his opponent Randy Brown. I expect Luque to push the pace the entire fight and make it a rough one for Brown. Vincente has the advantage just about everywhere here as long as he fights to his strengths. I don’t hate the under if u have it at 2.5, but 1.5 is just too short for me. This is the perfect fight for Vicente Luque to build up another winning streak and go on another roll.

2. Shahbazyan/Brunson Under 1.5 -120
