The UFC returns tonight as arguably the two best Heavyweights ever, Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic, battle it out for the third and final time.
Not only does this card involve one of the best trilogy fights in MMA history, but also features fan favorite “Suga” Sean O’Malley, former Heavyweight Champ Junior Dos Santos vs Jair Rozenstruik and the return of veterans like Jim Miller, John Dodson and Felice Herrig.
To rain on the parade, this undercard doesn’t come close to UFC 253’s, however it still has some bangers.
As far as gambling goes some of these lines are leaning way to heavy on the favorite. For instance, I wouldn’t be surprised if Felice Herrig pulls off a boring W even though she’s the biggest dog on the card.
Last week i was 3-0 in this article, however my full card plays are out on twitter as well as some props @thiskid_coby5. Follow @smoke_sports1 for his locks and more.
1. Cormier/Miocic Over 2.5 -150
There just isn’t a circumstance in which I see this fight going under 2.5 rounds. The way the first fight went is the only reason why the total isn’t 3.5 or more. Stipe seems to be in the best shape of his life, however Cormier is just the more well rounded fighter. Cormier must control the pace and get the fight to the ground in order to secure the victory. I believe Cormier wins the fight by decision, that prop is solid or take Cormier straight up at -120. If there’s an opportunity to get an alternative total at 3.5 with plus money, it would be a bad idea to throw some pocket change on it.
2. Herbert Burns -250
This is one of those lines I think just lean on the favorite way too much because Pineda is actually a really good fighter and has more experience than Burns. However, Burns’ size, pressure and versatility should be able to get it done. The fact that he missed weight by three pounds doesn’t hurt our chances here either. This is definitely a step up in competition for Burns, but without a doubt he looks ready.
Honorable Mention: Souza -165
