Top 10 QBs to Start a Franchise With

We’re back with Top 10 Tuesday! This week I decided to rank the top 10 QBs you would pick to start a franchise with right now. I was thinking of this as more of a long term QB option. So think, who would I want to play QB for my team for the next 10 years. Therefore, guys like Brady and Rodgers are not on the list due to their age. You could of course argue I’d rather take Rodgers and have a chance to win within the next couple of years, but that’s not what I am doing here so kick rocks.

1. Patrick Mahomes

You have to think this one is a no brainer. Since being drafted in 2017, Mahomes has already won an MVP, Super Bowl and appeared in another Super Bowl. The talent is off the charts. I don’t think much more needs to be said.

2. Josh Allen

Hand up, I’ll admit I was the biggest Josh Allen hater on planet earth when he was drafted. However, he has proved all the idiots including me wrong. His accuracy has improved tremendously, and we all know he has a cannon. He has led the bills to a 32-17 record since taking over as the starter. As long as he stays healthy (some of those QB runs are really sketchy) he should be an MVP contender for the next bunch of years.

3. Kyler Murray

People may think this one is a little high, but honestly, I am obsessed with Kyler. He is so dynamic I think sky is the limit for him. Every time I see him play, I am blown away how quick he is, and his accuracy has been improving. Since winning rookie of the year in 2019, he has only gotten better. He currently leads the last undefeated team and is completing an astonishing 73.8% of his passes. I love Kyler and wish he could be my QB.

4. Lamar Jackson

It bothers me that Lamar doesn’t get the respect he deserves. This is a guy who has already won an MVP in his career. As a quarterback in his 4th season, he has rushed for 1000+ yards twice and is easily on pace to do it again this year. I also think he could be the first player ever to rush for 1000 and pass for 4000 this year. His passing ability is vastly underrated because everyone thinks of him as this QB that can only run but that isn’t the case. He is the best duel threat QB to ever play the game. On top of that, he just been a winner. 35-8 in his career and I only see Lamar getting better.

5. Dak Prescott

There was so much controversy when he came in the league if Dak was a good quarterback or not. He was always being compared to Carson Wentz. I think we now know how that turned out. Dak has been lights out this year bouncing back from a major injury. Not to mention, before said injury, he was averaging 371 yards per game and was easily the front runner for the MVP. He has picked up right where he left off this year has led the Cowboys to a 5-1 record thus far. I truly think Dak will be a top 5 QB in this league for the next bunch of years,

6. Russell Wilson

Now this is a little bit of an interesting one. The premise for this is QB you would most like to start a franchise going forward with. Russell has already been in the league 10 years and is 32 years o
