Kenny Golladay is a New York Football Giant. One of the most memorable free agent signings for the Giants in recent memory, Joe Judge went out and got his #1 WR. The former Lions star signed a 4 year, $72 million dollar deal with $40 mil guaranteed (The deal can be worth up to $76 mil with incentives over the next 4 years as well). A 6-10 Giants team showed fight last year, but Danny Dimes never took the step needed to show his breakout potential, and this move will solidify if he’s a franchise QB or a bust. The new Giants offense is now: Golladay and Slaton on the outsides, Sterling in the slot, a healthy Saquon, and hopefully improved TE play from Ingram, with the new addition of Kyle Rudolph (2 years $14 million deal). It’s clear Joe Judge has a vision, as he’s created his potential offense while still adding more to the defensive side of the ball.
Just today, the Giants inked former Titans CB Adoree’ Jackson to a 3 year $39 million dollar deal. One of the most needed positions for the Giants was a CB opposite of James Bradberry after the release of DeAndre Baker. Judge was able to secure the 25-year-old Cornerback for $26.5 mil guaranteed, shaping and solidifying the secondary of Bradberry, Jackson, Peppers, and McKinney.
All together, the Giants have added the free agent talents of WR-Kenny Golladay, CB-Adoree’ Jackson, TE-Kyle Rudolph, RB-Devontae Booker, WR-John Ross, QB Mike Glennon, DE-Ifeadi Odenigbo, and LB-Reggie Ragland.
It’s a deep free-agent class for the Giants, and we will see if they can make a run for the NFC East title in 2021.
